Changes in API 570 Authorised Piping Inspector Exam - June 2021

 API 570 AUTHORISED PIPING INSPECTOR EXAM

CHANGE IN SYLLABUS FROM JUNE 2021

Based on the latest code editions, assessments on the topics / areas that an inspector has to perform, the syllabus for API 570 Authorized piping inspector exam is revised by API Individual Certification Program Committee.

If you go through the Exam publications effective sheet for June 2021 to October 2021, you can see some major changes in the syllabus of the exam.

• The LOGO of API

• API RP 571 3rd Edition

API RP 571 has published its 3rd Edition and it is included in the new API 570 syllabus for exams from June 2021. The new edition of the API RP 571 is published with major changes in its content and arrangement of topics.

• API RP 576 : Inspection Of Pressure Relieving Devices

API 570 Authorized Piping Inspector program has added a new code in its syllabus for the exams from June 2021. API RP 576 is included in view that pressure relieving systems are a critical element of piping integrity program.

• ASME BPVC 2019 Editions

API 570 Authorized piping inspector program updated its syllabus with 2019 editions of the ASME BPVC V and ASME BPVC IX codes.

• ASME B31.3 2018 Edition

The latest edition of ASME B31.3 Process piping is included in the syllabus of API 570 Authorized piping inspector program.

Please note that these changes are only to those who are planning to write their exams after February 2021.
