PIPE STORAGE YARD

Pipe Storage Yard is a place where pipes are stacked for the purpose of future usage. 

Pipes are stacked in different heights and in different methods based on the ease of storage and retrieval.

Pipes will be of big bore (Pipes>2") and small bore (Pipes <=2"NB). Big bore pipes are stored such that there is proper space for the movement of lifting machines such as cranes for handling it.

Small bore pipes are stacked either as bundles or in racks. 

Choice of stacking will be governed by the size, MOC, special storage condition requirement and quantity.

The above picture shows the pipe storage area of big bore pipes.

The pipe storage areas will be marked with placard or with other sign boards. The placard contains the size, MOC and location identification symbol.

Pipes are color coded for easy identification of MOC and other details. The color codes and the method of color coding will be in the project specification.

Proper material storage will help to easily identify and retrieve pipes.
